Terms of Service

Welcome to Beloved (“Beloved,” “we,” “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Beloved and govern your use of the Beloved mobile app and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

The Service is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to create an account or use Beloved. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and verify your email address to use the Service. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time from within the app; deletion removes your account and associated content as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. The Service

Beloved lets two consenting partners privately share moods, an “openness” status, intimacy preferences, and short messages with each other. Content you create is intended only for you and the partner you choose to pair with. Beloved is a communication tool and does not provide medical, psychological, or relationship advice.

4. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten, or harm anyone;
• share content involving anyone who is a minor or who has not consented;
• pair with, or send content to, a person without their consent;
• attempt to access another user’s account or data, or disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service;
• use the Service to send spam, malware, or to infringe others’ rights.

Intimacy is built on consent. Anything you share through Beloved must be consensual between you and your partner.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create. You grant us a limited license to host, store, and transmit that content solely to operate the Service for you and your partner (for example, delivering a message to the partner you paired with). We do not sell your content and we do not use it for advertising.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we handle it.

7. Purchases

Beloved is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features, any purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed and governed by that store’s terms, including its billing, refund, and subscription policies.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beloved will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Beloved operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
